Best Help Desk Software

Posted by Tips Providers

Without a doubt, any company would want to deliver services that are worth the money that their clients and customers pay for. Possessing the capability of reaching out to patrons’ needs even after transactions have been made is truly invaluable. Not to mention that the fast and efficient resolution of problems can boost the company’s relations with customers.

However, attending to each and every complaint or troubleshooting issue can be overwhelming, especially with a lack of resources. Help desk software comes in very handy at this point. But don’t just settle for the first one that comes your way. The best help desk software will need a bit of careful thought before being selected and utilized.

Consider The Cost and Expenses:

One of the first factors that companies consider is the cost or expenses that it will bring them. Just because they can afford it, many believe that the more expensive the help desk software, the better and more superior it must be. Although you’re more likely to get added features and assurance over quality, price may not really matter. The best help desk software tips may be one that is either free or really inexpensive. It’s all about evaluating the services and options that are needed. It’s about making full use of the potential it has and making the most out of your money.

Adequate Tracking Ability:

So what should one look for when making an evaluation? To begin with, the best help desk software is characterized by the impressive ability to record and track issues as they come and go. Adequate issue tracking should be allowed. A call should never be lost from the time it is logged to the time it is closed. The capability of tracking it should still remain as well as the accessibility to call history. The time and date of calls should be automatically recorded. Manipulation or changing of time and date stamps should not be possible so managers can monitor the statuses of each call made by the call center agent.

The best help desk software must be able to take note of the different phases a call has. From the time it is logged to when it is closed, the manager should be able to access information on the cycle and status of each. In short, help desk software shows how long an agent or technician took to resolve an issue, how many times the line has been put on hold, when was it completed, and so on and so forth. It should also reflect who managed the issue, how many times it has been transferred and what took place during an agent’s watch.

Of course there will be times when agents and technicians won’t be able to handle issues on their own and will need to transfer them. The help desk software makes it possible for calls to be upgraded or downgraded as well as tag these as “normal,” “urgent” or “critical.” The entry details cannot be manipulated but individuals are allowed to attach notes to them. The notes must also contain the date and time they was made. To save effort, time and resources, a few help desk software can automatically log calls from email or text messages from a cell phone without the need of human intervention.

The best help desk software allows calls to be escalated or flagged within certain parameters. For example, if no resolution has been made within a specified period of time, then a notification shall be made to the manager. Each and every detail of the transaction must be accessible and should be tamper-worthy. Features like these look out for the efficiency of a company and ensure that the best services are provided for their patrons.

Photoshop and Photography Tips

Why? How could our Photoshop tips help you?

ALL of your old photographs and "tweaking" them, I did!

For the last few years, it has added a whole new dimension to my photography. Needless to say, colour processing didn't get a look in, I left that to the pros at the labs!

For the past two years I have been using Kevin Kubota's Photoshop Action sets on most of my wedding images and find them invaluable.

In typically "Me" style, I just loaded a photograph and started to play around, clicking this, sliding that ... it wasn't long before I got very frustrated with the sheer amount of features and effects available and so I shut the whole thing down for a while.

Then I started to read, and to listen to other people and their own Photoshop tips, people who knew what they were doing, and it wasn't long before I was as "at home" with Photoshop as I was up in the loft in the early 80's! It is not unusual for me to spend up to 8 hours a day on Photoshop CS nowadays.
I will show you simple Photoshop tips and techniques such as turning a somewhat bland photograph into something useable, for example...

A large Spanish Real Estate company, asked me to do something with their logo for an awards ceremony. This is the logo.

This took a lot more work but, once you know how, it isn't that difficult!

The same company asked me to produce an A1 print based on the Ocean's Eleven theme using the Directors of the company. Again, using the wonders of Photoshop CS I came up with this. I think they liked it, it is still hanging on the wall as large as life! With today's technology, online printing services can produce anything from postcards to banners, right from your desktop!

If you are serious about photography and feel that you want to explore a new and exciting avenue, give it a try. Once you get the hang of it, I can assure you that you will Always use it! It will really get your creative juices flowing.

Oh, and you don't have to have the latest version to get creative. Why not look at Photoshop CS2, a couple of generations old now but still great software and a lot cheaper than the latest reincarnation!

There are many other editing suites out there but none come close this one in terms of features and professionalism. However, it is pricey and not feasible for most people. With the amount of programs available, most with free trial, it is easy to end up with a PC that has 5 or more editing programs on it!

Please, please, please just stick to a maximum of 2, otherwise you will get confused as to which one does what and how?

If Photoshop is too much at this stage (both financially and on a learning curve basis), then I would suggest you look at Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 or 8 . They are the "baby brothers" of Photoshop, much cheaper and more user friendly. It is also a great start to get you learning all the exiting techniques and alterations you can make.

One other piece of software I find myself using more and more is ACDSee. It is a fantastic program that allows you to upload from a scanner, burn to a CD, remove red-eye and do most basic editing techniques. Most of all it has the best file viewer facility that I find myself using use all the time.

If you want to scan through all the photos in one of your files, you simply click on the one you want to see and then use the scroll wheel to flick through your pics. That's not all by a long shot...

Math Tips

mathematics is different studying than studying subjects like English and history. You bet it is! And it could be the reason why some students are not as successful in mathematics as they are in other subjects.

Here mentioned some math tips.

One of the keys to success is regular practice just as you practice when you learn to play the piano or basketball. Here are some tips for helping you succeed in mathematics.

Taking a Math Test

Attendance

Attend class regularly and take notes.

Ask Questions

Don't be afraid to ask questions in class. There are always other students in class who have the same questions but are too shy too ask.

Read Your Text

Many students depend solely on the instructor's lecture and explanations in class to do their assignments, without reading the explanation or studying the examples in their text. If you get stuck, one of the best resources you have is your text! Many exercises are keyed to specific examples or objectives that will explain the procedures for working them. Try to identify the main ideas that are in each lesson. Often they are clearly highlighted or boxed in the text.

Homework

Review your class notes and try reworking the problems the instructor did in class. Many students say "I understand it perfectly when you do it, but I get stuck when I try to work the problem myself." Reworking the problems the instructor did in class will help reinforce what you have learned.
Try to do your math homework as soon after class as possible, and reserve some time later in the day to attack the problems that you get stuck on the first time around.

Check your work with the answers in the back of the book. If you get a problem wrong, check to see if there is an example in the book similar to the problem you are working on. Study the example and then try to do the example problem with your book closed. Then give the homework problem another try its is usefull mayh tips. If the answer is not correct, check your computations (arithmetic and algebra). If you still have difficulty solving the problem, mark that problem so that you can get help with it.

Keep your homework in a notebook. The more organized it is, the more it will serve you as a guide for seeking help in resolving difficulties and studying for tests.

Getting Help

Visit your instructor during office hours.

Take advantage of the tutoring services on campus.

Visit the Tutoring Center.

Form a study group with your classmates.

Preparing for a Math Test

Many students work hard preparing for a test and yet they don't do as well as they expected. Here are some suggestions that might help:

Work regularly on your math homework. If you have difficulties get them cleared up right away.

A couple of days before the test, start to work through the sections to be covered on the test. Work sample problems. make notes on what each section is about. Get help with material you don't understand.

Make a summary of the different kinds of problems that will be on the test. Describe each problem type, describe the steps in working the problem, do an example of each. Your summary should include key definitions and/or theorems.

The last studying you do before the test should be in reviewing your summary. For each problem type it includes, make sure that you know the steps needed for its solution. Also, make sure that you know and understand all key definitions and/or theorems.

Taking a Math Test

Many students feel that they knew the material for a test and yet they did not do as well as they should have.

A few tips: Prepare as well as possible. Start preparing yourself mentally and, as the instructor passes out the test materials, think about your test taking strategies.

The following should be part of your plan:

Keep cool.

Do a "memory dump". While your head is still clear and before looking at the test, write yourself some notes. Include those things you think you might forget or "cautions" about typical errors you have made before.

Make a reasonable attempt at each problem. If you get it, fine. Go on. If you don't get it, put a check by it and then forget it until you have finished the rest of the problems.

When you have tried all of the problems on the test, go back and do the best you can on the checked problems.

If you can do only part of a problem, do it. Partial credit is better than no credit.

Above all, remain cool. Don't think about how you are doing or what happens if you don't do well. (You can do that after the test.) Don't worry if you find something you don't know.

First Cheetahs Born in UAE

Posted by Tips Providers

In UAE Coun 4 cheetah born after 38 years. The seven-week-old northern cheetahs are about 25cm long and closely trail behind their shy mother, Safira, who was brought to the 4,100-hectare Arabian Wildlife Park from captivity two years ago.

Visitors on guided nature drives have already spotted the new family, said Marius Prinsloo, the manager of conservation and agriculture at Sir Bani Yas Island.

“Some groups have been lucky enough to encounter the female with the cubs,” Mr Prinsloo said yesterday. “The mother is very secretive about her movement, but the babies are very playful. They go around with her, following her wherever she goes and they’re fighting, rolling around, sneaking and chasing each other.”

As the cubs mature and grow into their hunting instincts, he said, Safira will take them on longer journeys. Safira is roughly 31kg and nearing six years old as a fully grown female.

The birth of the four cubs doubled the island’s population of northern cheetahs. The northern cheetah is classified as a “vulnerable” species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and is a close relative to the indigenous Arabian cheetah, which became extinct in the UAE in 1972.

“This is a very significant event because with these animals, both the mother and father were captive-bred,” Mr Prinsloo said.

“These animals were properly rehabilitated, brought here, and from that, these two zoo animals became truly wild and even had babies in the wild.”

The father, Gabriel, is not involved with raising the cubs, as female cheetahs are solitary and males are brought in purely for mating.Aimee Cokayne, the research and conservation officer at the wildlife park, said the animals mated in early October.

The cubs were born in a mountain cave without human interference, although Ms Cokayne, with whom the animals are familiar, tracked Safira by her radio collar.

“Aimee found a signal on the mother and it was the same place every time, so we suspected she was staying there because the cubs were born,” Mr Prinsloo said.
Identifying the sex of the cubs is tricky. Ms Cokayne has so far only been able to observe them from a distance.

“We think we have three males and a female, but we’re not 100 per cent sure,” she said in a video released by the Tourism Development & Investment Company, which runs the conservation project. She expected to be able to tell boys from girls in a few months.

Survival rates for cheetah cubs are low, but Ms Cokayne called it “a triumph” that Safira has been able to keep the family intact. “Having these cheetahs on the island and re-wilding and having them breed in a natural situation … that in itself is an amazing thing,” she said.

Earlier this year, two striped hyenas a species that is extinct in the UAE were born as part of the breeding programme. Also, Mr Prinsloo said four baby giraffes were born last month on the island.
